In an effort to continually renew their dedication to the environment and the communities they are in, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts established the Green Partnership Program at their Canadian properties in 1990. Since then, Fairmont continues to build and grow their environmentally friendly efforts and practices in all of their properties around the world. Fairmont's eco-Innovation signature projects, meant to help people “think globally and act locally,” bring hotel guests into these efforts by allowing them to learn about the environment and get involved—whether it's keeping the air clean in California, protecting coral reefs in Hawaii, or saving the many endangered species. Over 26,000 Fairmont employees have already become environment ambassadors, spreading the word about the very habitats that their guests are a part of every day.
