From the Côte d'Azur, the 1930-style Monte-Carlo Beach Relais & Chateaux is set to reopen on March 2. The luxury resort is reminiscent of the over-the-top decadence of the 1930s. However, it also is thoroughly modern with numerous post-millennium contemporary indulgences from technology to culinary options to spa treatments. Renowned designer India Mahdavi previously refurbished the resort in 2009. A new executive chef also will be on board when the Monte-Carlo Beach Relais & Chateaux reopens in early March 2012, according to the Monaco Tourism bureau. Culinary choices on the property are diverse, ranging from seafood at the Virgie to Italian entrees at the Elan. The Deck presents the broadest of menu selections that are steeped in fresh fish and locally grown produce.
