St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is partnering with New York’s Jazz at Lincoln Center, the world renowned organization run under the leadership of Artistic Director Wynton Marsalis, on a series of new jazz clubs at its luxe properties beginning with Doha in Qatar. Schedule to open in 2012 at the soon to be St. Regis Doha, the club will be the jazz institution’s first ever venue outside of New York City and is the first in a planned portfolio of five clubs in all. The stylish spaces will be modeled on Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola in New York City, a venue for live music and elegant entertaining.
Marsalis will personally oversee the programming at the new clubs, designed to provide both first-timers and aficionados the opportunity to “experience world-class jazz, learn about its rich American-bred history and understand its cultural value in a modern and authentic way.” The St. Regis Doha, the brand’s first Middle Eastern property, will feature the signature St. Regis Butler Service, a world class spa, exclusive water sports, three fine dining restaurants, including a signature restaurant by renowned Chef Gordon Ramsay and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Overlooking the Persian Gulf, The St. Regis Doha is designed as two 14-story beachfront reflecting towers.
