Airbnb, the online marketplace where consumers can list, discover and book unique spaces all over the world, is now offering monthly rentals for well-heeled travelers who prefer privacy and exclusiveness to crowded hotels.
The company’s "In the Lap of Luxury Collection" features fantasy accommodations in 34 different countries, ranging from private islands and castles to ultra-modern mansions. At the top of the list is an architecturally impressive Ski house in Squaw Valley, California near Lake Tahoe that rents for a cool $80,825 per month.
Perfect for movie stars and vacationing oligarchs, the luxe property features a six foot fire place, salt water hot tub and 15 place sauna, and sleeps 17. Also available is a compound in Beverly Hills for $23,982 per month. Of course nightly rentals are also offered for shorter stays.
There’s a mansion in Aspen, Colorado for $4,000 per night, an Italian luxury yacht moored in Miami for $4,500 per night and a classic castle in the UK for $2,766 per night.
