Charity Auctions: The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel is getting ready for the Third Annual Holiday Surfboard Auction to benefit Surfers Healing, a surf camp, which introduces children with autism and their families to the therapeutic properties of surfing. The event is part of the luxury hotel's Community Footprints Program.

Former competitive surfer, Israel Paskowitz and his wife Danielle founded Surfers Healing after their son, Isaiah, was diagnosed with Autism at age 3. Like other Autistic children, Isaiah suffers from sensory overload, but found being in the ocean on a surfboard soothing and the Paskowitz family wanted to share their experience with other families.

The auction includes surfboards from such legends as Andy Irons, Dustin Baraca, Shane Beschan, Garrett McNamara, and Clay Marzo, as well as celebrities Pierce Brosnan and Sarah McLaughlin.

All items will be on display at the stunning Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel from Sunday, November 21 through December 31, 2010 with the bidding closing at noon on December 31, 2010. Interested buyers can also Bid Online
