This resort, named after the turtles residing in a nearby marine sanctuary, offers guests the opportunity to watch as baby turtles hatch and make their way into the sea for the first time. The lobby features wide walkways with bold geometric patterns and vibrant hues on the walls and archways. The indoor/outdoor La Lantana Bar, with arched natural wood plank ceilings and glazed tile floors, serves guests' favorite beverages. The open-air La Lantana Restaurant offers privacy with seating near trees, under pool side arbors, and in airy wooden gazebos with ocean views. The hotel Spa has an air of an oasis retreat, with glazed tile in cool shades of white surrounding sparkling blue pools of warm water. Outdoor, the free-form pool has small landscaped islands with palm trees for sun bathing. The fitness center offers cardiac and universal weight resistance machines, where active guests can resume their fitness regimens. Guests can relax on the private cove and enjoy the shade of nearby palm trees.

Accommodations
Guestrooms and suites overlook the pool or gardens. Mexican terracotta tile, with loomed bedspreads and creamy stucco walls add traditional Mexican touches to the guestrooms. Suites with unique hand painted décor offer rustic sophistication and charm. Select rooms have private balconies or ocean views. Twenty rooms have private pools, and refrigerators are available upon request.

Save the Turtles
The turtle protection program on Teopa beach has collected over 500,000 sea turtle eggs to protect them from predators and poachers. Guests may participate in the collection of the eggs from July to November and on the release of the baby turtles to the sea in the winter months. The majestic giant sea turtles which populate these waters is why this area is called the "Turtle Coast."

Weddings
A wedding at Costa Careyes is a truly unique experience. Its private grounds are located neighboring a nature reserve on the peaceful Costalegre, and it is perfectly situated to enjoy the magnificent Pacific Ocean sunsets. A Religious Wedding (there is a Catholic Church on a nearby town), a non-denominational ceremony or a renewal of vows can be arranged for a simple ceremony on the beach or in the sybaritic privacy of a Castle or Villa. Costa Careyes is the best suited destination for small and intimate wedding gatherings. However, for larger events, the casitas, the Hotel, the Villas and the Bungalows can host a maximum of 300 guests. The perfect place to share with friends and family in a relaxed setting.
