HOTEL OVERVIEW

The Hard Rock Hotel in Chicago, while not as large as its sister hotels, is warm and inviting, combining modern décor with classic Hard Rock style. The Hard Rock Chicago opened its doors five years ago, in the heart of downtown, located on Michigan Avenue. The hotel is just a short stroll away from city landmarks, including the Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile, museums, restaurants, and national parks.

The junior suite, located on the 16th floor, boasts a spectacular view of Chicago's Millennium Park. Upon entering the 550-square-foot studio suite, the first thing that comes to mind is the ample living space. Immaculate and undeniably lavish, the suite features a separate living area with a sectional sofa, an oversized bathroom, and a bed fit for a king (or a rock star). The large windows not only provide amazing views but cater to the rock star lifestyle, with full coverage shades in addition to heavy drapes for total blackout.

Adorned with rocker paraphernalia, portraits of David Bowie hang in the hall and a young Tina Turner looms in the luxurious bathroom. Room service arrives at least three times a day to straighten up and stock necessities, providing complimentary water and even chocolate treats before bedtime.

Each floor level presents musical icons from yesteryear. Showcasing his infamous white guitar and white silk shirt memorabilia, the Artist formerly known as "Prince" (one of my all-time favorites) lines the halls of the 16th floor.

The staff at the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago is extremely friendly and service-oriented. The concierge goes above and beyond and is always on-hand to answer any questions. Transportation is never an issue as an abundance of taxi cabs wait readily outside the lobby.

The Hard Rock Hotel Chicago definitely earns its four stars and warrants a stay when visiting the Windy City. You will be treated like the rock star, you always knew you were.
