San Clemente is a new five star hotel found on the exclusive private island of San Clemente, which actually dates back to 1131, when a church was constructed there. Over time the island has remained in very good condition and today it's the location of this extremely unique gateway; The San Clemente Palace hotel. The historic surroundings of the hotel courtyards and grounds date back to the second part of the 17th century when it was a Camaldolesi Monastery. It still has the same historical feeling and one cannot help but be swept away in this intense emotion.
Today courtyards and lawns surround the complex, which, built in the second half of the 17th Century as a monastery of the Camaldolesi order, still retains the atmosphere and the ancient flavour.
In order to preserve the historical charm, the art treasures and the natural beauty of the island, the restoration of the structure had been completed with the utmost respect for its antique tradition.
