Photo Courtesy of Ritz-Carlton Forget camping under the stars, with the new In-Room Camping at the Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain, younger guests can get in on the resort's dedication to adventure. This new children’s amenity will do away with the traditional rollaway bed sometimes brought in to guest accommodations shared by families, and it will replace that rollaway or bed-share with an in-room tent large enough to become a private home-away-from-home for young guests. In-Room Camping will feature Ritz-Carlton tent delivery to the family’s guest room, tent set-up, a s’mores kit for the tent occupant, an educational book about Arizona’s spectacular high Sonoran Desert, and a keepsake desert tortoise stuffed animal.
In-Room Camping not only provides “shelter” for young travelers; it also helps them imagine what the same tent adventure must have been like for the early cowboy settlers who slept outdoors under the desert stars, in the midst of the same lush Saguaro cactus forest which surrounds the resort. The property has also introduced the Junior Rangers program, a new addition to the popular Dove Mountain Rangers. The Dove Mountain Rangers program is a comprehensive cultural, educational and adventure offering which allows young travelers to participate in local activity, adventure days, desert fun and games, and hands-on sessions surrounding the history, animals and plant life which are part of the Arizona resort.
