Canyon Ranch Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach has added more than 250,000 cubic yards of sand to the 750 feet of beach bordering the resort. As part of the Miami-Dade County Shore Protection Project to bring back Miami's beautiful beachfront, which has been ravaged by damaging hurricanes that left the local shoreline depleted, the project is now complete. The pristine oceanfront resort now has copious amounts of white sand beaches for hotel guests to participate in beachside activities, play with the kids, or relax under the stunning skyscape. Also enjoying the restored sand are nesting sea turtles that regularly select the clean, environmentally rich beach as the perfect place to lay their eggs!
