La Jolla's La Valencia Hotel Receives $10 Million Renovation Under New Management

The historic La Valencia Hotel in beautiful La Jolla, CA has a renewed attitude, thanks to the recent $10 million renovations and ownership change. The San Diego landmark’s famous pink exterior has undergone some new changes, with more yet to come. The 112 rooms and array of suites and villas have been refurbished and include Frette linens, down comforters and Molton Brown bath amenities. Café La Rue and the Whaling Bar are presently still under construction to create one larger European style bistro. The conveniently located luxury hotel holds many memories for San Diegans and their families, the new management team hopes that many new memories have yet to be formed in the property.

The Langham Place Brand Brings British Luxury to New York City

The Langham Place brand is launching a new hotel in New York City with its first hotel in a landmark property. The first NYC property will be the Langham Place, Fifth Avenue, in the property previously known as The Setai Fifth Avenue. Since the opening of the first Langham Hotel in London in 1865, the brand has become known for setting the hospitality standard for luxury, innovation and grandeur. Today, Langham represents Modern British luxury, which the brand will bring to the NYC property in the form of renovations as well as Measure Lounge and Chuan Spa. Future Langham properties are set to open in Chicago and Toronto, joining the already opened Langham hotels in Pasadena and Boston.

Travelers to the Hyatt Regency Trinidad have two new reasons to relax at the luxury hotel's spa with the introduction of two new organic spa product lines, Svarasa and Ruupa. Svarasa, meaning “essence of you” in Sanskrit and pronounced “Var-asa,” was developed by pharmacist Vishal Dhanraj and uses old world traditions with certified organic olive, coconut and palm oils to create each bar. Ruupa is amongst the latest in creators and suppliers of Soy Blended Candles and spa products. Their offerings include bath salts, soap, linen spray, massage oil and body lotion in a variety of scents that range from fruity to woody.
